Data Storage

Local Storage

Most of your data (pantry, meal plans, shopping lists, favorites) is stored locally on your device.

iCloud Sync

If you have iCloud enabled, your data may be synced across your Apple devices using Apple’s CloudKit. This data is encrypted and stored according to Apple’s privacy practices.

Third-Party Services

We use the Spoonacular API to provide recipe search and discovery features. When you search for recipes, your search queries are sent to Spoonacular. Please review Spoonacular’s Privacy Policy for more information.

We do not sell, trade, or rent your personal information to third parties.

We may share anonymized, aggregated data (such as total number of app users or popular recipe searches) that cannot be used to identify you.

Data Retention

Your data remains on your device until you delete the app or clear app data. If you use iCloud sync, data is retained according to Apple’s iCloud policies.

Your Rights

You can:

Access your data by viewing it within the app
Delete your data by deleting items in the app or uninstalling the app
Disable iCloud Sync in your device settings if you don’t want data synced

Children’s Privacy

Stokpot is not intended for children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe we have collected information from a child under 13, please contact us.

We implement appropriate technical and organizational measures to protect your data. However, no method of electronic storage is 100% secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.
