By downloading, installing, or using ZuluRest ("the App"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Use. If you do not agree to these terms, do not use the App.
2. Description of Service
ZuluRest is a fatigue tracking and flight duty period (FDP) management application designed to assist pilots in monitoring their duty times, sleep patterns, and fatigue levels. The App provides tools for:
- Tracking flight duty periods and rest requirements
- Logging sleep data manually or via HealthKit integration
- Calculating fatigue risk scores
- Monitoring compliance with FAA regulations (Part 117, Part 91, Part 135)

The App is provided for informational purposes only. It does not constitute legal, medical, or professional advice. The calculations and recommendations provided by the App should not be relied upon as the sole means of determining regulatory compliance or fitness for duty.
3.1 No Guarantee of Accuracy
While we strive for accuracy in our calculations, the App may contain errors or may not account for all regulatory scenarios, operational variations, or individual circumstances. Users must independently verify all calculations and comply with applicable regulations.
3.2 Pilot Responsibility
The Pilot in Command has final authority and responsibility for flight safety decisions, including fatigue-related decisions. The App is a supplementary tool and does not replace professional judgment, company policies, or regulatory requirements.
3.3 Fatigue Scoring Limitations
The fatigue risk scoring feature is for awareness purposes only and is not a validated biomathematical fatigue model. It should not replace professional medical guidance or certified fatigue risk management systems.
4. User Responsibilities
By using the App, you agree to:
- Verify all duty time calculations independently
- Consult official FAA regulations and your company's operations specifications
- Not rely solely on the App for safety-critical decisions
- Provide accurate information when inputting data
- Keep your device and the App updated
5. Data and Privacy
Your use of the App is also governed by our Privacy Policy. By using the App, you consent to the collection and use of data as described in that policy.
6. HealthKit Integration
If you choose to enable HealthKit integration:
- The App will read sleep data from Apple Health
- This data is used solely for fatigue calculations within the App
- Sleep data is stored locally on your device
- We do not transmit HealthKit data to external servers
7. Intellectual Property
The App and its original content, features, and functionality are owned by the developer and are protected by copyright, trademark, and other intellectual property laws.
8. Limitation of Liability
TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW: The App is provided "AS IS" without warranties of any kind. The developer shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or for any errors in duty time calculations or fatigue assessments, or for any decisions made based on information provided by the App.
9. Indemnification
You agree to indemnify and hold harmless the developer from any claims, damages, or expenses arising from your use of the App or violation of these Terms.
10. Modifications
We reserve the right to modify these Terms at any time. Continued use of the App after changes constitutes acceptance of the modified Terms.
11. Termination
We may terminate or suspend your access to the App at any time, without prior notice, for conduct that we believe violates these Terms or is harmful to other users or the App.
12. Governing Law
These Terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the United States, without regard to conflict of law principles.
